Scope of Work:

Environmental noise level measurements from the expressway, acoustic analysis of its impact on the facades of the planned logistics center, and preparation of a report with recommendations.

Introduction:

The planned logistics center development required a detailed analysis of road traffic noise impact on the site. Our goal was to ensure that the design of the new logistics center, particularly the office areas, provides acoustic comfort for employees.

Scope of Work and Implementation Timeline:

  • Environmental Noise Measurements: We conducted detailed noise measurements using advanced measurement equipment at four key points around the planned facility. The collected data was used to assess noise levels and their impact on the surroundings.

  • Analysis of Results and Compliance with Regulations: The measurement results were compared with the permissible noise levels specified in national regulations. The equivalent continuous sound levels (LAeq) recorded at the measurement points ranged from 50.4 dB to 73.8 dB, with the highest value observed closest to the expressway.

  • Acoustic Insulation Requirements for Facades: Based on the measurement results, we developed acoustic insulation requirements for the facades in accordance with the PN-B02151-3 standard. Special attention was given to facades located closest to noise sources, where we recommended the use of materials with enhanced insulation properties.

Summary

Accurate measurements and advanced acoustic analyses allowed us to adapt the project to applicable standards and minimize the impact of noise on the logistics center. Based on the measurement results, the investor strategically positioned key facades of the building on the quieter sides, leading to significant cost savings. The findings contributed to the further design process.
